Most players will be labeled as ‘innocents,’ while a few will secretly be chosen as ‘traitors’ by the host. The game involves clever strategies and figuring out who the traitors are before it’s too late.
Karan Johar shared his excitement about hosting, saying, “I love the UK and US versions, and I can’t wait to bring this format to India. The players are in for a surprising journey with me behind the scenes.”
Nikhil Madhok from Prime Video India highlighted their focus on unscripted content and mentioned other successful shows like *Angry Young Men*. He believes *The Traitors* will be a fantastic addition to their lineup.
Sabrina Duguet from All3Media International also expressed her enthusiasm, saying the show’s thrilling concept has attracted audiences globally. She expects the Indian version to draw even more fans, noting that over 30 versions of *The Traitors* are being made worldwide.
Sameer Gogate from BBC Studios India Productions said this unique format needs strategy and the ability to handle surprises, making it fun for many viewers.
Originally created in the Netherlands, *The Traitors* has won several awards and continues to grow in popularity, including merchandise.
