Police have detained Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary for allegedly trying to kill Agarwal.  Siya and Chetan are said to have tied the knot in a private ceremony, a few months after Siya’s engagement to Ketan in February this year. Investigators are looking into whether the secret marriage was somehow hidden from Ketan and his family while the couple was being married in public.

Digital evidence, financial transactions and deleted chats from the accused are also being looked at by the police. Previously, it has been reported that Siya and Chetan were communicating with each other via coded language and nicknames to evade detection. These charges have come together to make the case a matter of public interest due to the alleged deception in the engagement, the alleged romantic relationship between Siya and Chetan and the circumstances leading to Ketan’s death. The claims have not been officially confirmed by authorities yet, but investigators state that the new pieces of information are a crucial addition to the investigation. Police are continuing to investigate whether there were others who knew of or were involved in the alleged conspiracy, and both accused are in judicial custody.
