An Israeli source has informed The Daily Caller that the intelligence community has uncovered a new plan by Tehran to assassinate Donald Trump. Israel is sharing intelligence with The Daily Caller regarding an alleged new plan to assassinate Donald Trump by Tehran. Israel has been providing the United States with fresh intelligence regarding Iran’s new plot to assassinate US President Donald Trump, according to the Wall Street Journal. The spying led to new worries in Washington during a rising spate of tensions between the US, Israel and Iran, the reports said. The intelligence was recently passed on by Israeli officials and is currently under review by US officials, according to the report. The alleged plot is said to be connected with Iran’s decades-old promise to “avenge” the killing of top Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani in the 2020 U.S. drone strike.
The fact that the warning has come from within the United States itself has added to the fear of threats to Trump, though officials have not officially confirmed the intelligence. The White House and Israeli Embassy did not immediately comment on the report. The Iranian mission to the United Nations also didn’t make any official comment on the claims. The report coincides with ongoing regional tensions in the Middle East after some efforts to keep peace. In the past, Trump has admitted that Iran “has threatened my life” and that he has been in “enhanced security” as a result of such threats. The changes come at a time when there are reports that Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are at odds over how to proceed with Iran.
Both leaders are still in communication, though there are reports of disagreements over the intensity and timing of military pressure applied to Tehran, with Trump wanting to prevent a wider regional war. Iran has long denied being involved with past assassination attempts against Trump. But US officials have in the past accused others who are allegedly connected to Iran of involvement in murder-for-hire plots against the US President and others. No evidence has yet been made public to verify the latest intelligence, but there is no independent evidence of any assassination plan. U.S. security officials have been evaluating the information and canvassing for any threats.
