The debate on the coaching industry in Bihar has taken a drastic turn after the bizarre death of a Nepalese youth. This time the prime focus is on popular educator Khan Sir and has further rekindled a dispute between the coaching institutes in Patna. The deceased Prince Yadav was brother of Roshan Anand who is the promoter of Gyan Bindu Academy, Patna. The names of Prince had recently come up in the controversy between Khan Global Studies and Gyan Bindu Academy. Reports suggest that after an FIR was registered in connection with the violence and alleged firing incident in Patna, Prince Yadav had travelled to Nepal. Prince Yadav was found dead in a hotel in Biratnagar, Nepal on June 14. Nepal Police has begun investigations and the post-mortem report will be awaited to find out the precise cause of death. It is not known yet how he died and investigators are probing every direction before making any conclusions.
The case came to the fore again after Roshan Anand, who recently got bail from jail, raised some questions about his brother’s death. He has called for an impartial investigation, urging the truth behind the incident to be known. Soon, the controversy also went to the political arena, with the RJD leader, Tej Pratap Yadav making serious allegations regarding the case, adding to the public debate. But Khan Sir has emphatically rejected all allegations. He has insisted that he has nothing to do with the death of Prince Yadav and that the truth will come out with the end of the investigation. Khan Sir has not been found guilty of any crime and no official evidence has been handed over against him yet and the investigation is still in progress. It is noteworthy that the controversy had arisen a few weeks ago over an altercation between two groups of people that allegedly turned into stone pelting and a shooting incident in Patna. Now, this whole saga has come to a head, with Prince Yadav passing away. But it would be too early to say if his death is connected to the earlier dispute, investigators have not found any connection. So, for now it’s all eyes are on the findings of the investigating agencies.
So, is it just a coincidence that Prince Yadav died or is there a bigger story behind it? Until the investigation is finished, that question can only be answered. In the meantime, the allegations and claims put forward by a number of people are unverified and conclusions should not be drawn until the official findings are released.
