Arjun Kapoor praised the film *Laapataa Ladies*, saying its journey from script to screen has been inspiring. Directed by Kiran Rao, the film has been chosen as India’s official entry for the Oscars 2025. Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and Arjun celebrated this news on their Instagram Stories.
Kareena posted a film poster and wrote, “Great stories deserve great recognition! Congratulations @roadyness @aamirkhanproductions. So happy for you guys!” She added emojis to show her excitement. Karisma also congratulated the team with a message saying “Kiran,” along with clapping and heart emojis.
Arjun shared a poster too, congratulating the whole team for this amazing achievement. He expressed pride in representing India at the Oscars.
*Laapataa Ladies*, directed by Kiran Rao, was produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kindling Pictures, and Jio Studios. It was released in theaters on March 1 and stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, and Chhaya Kadam.
The story is set in rural India in 2001 and follows two brides who are mistakenly switched during a train journey, leading their husbands on a search to find them.
Kiran Rao shared her happiness about the Oscar entry, saying she was surprised because many good films came out this year. She thanked the audience for their love and mentioned that there’s something for everyone in her film.
