The price of commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders in Delhi has increased, just ahead of the festive season. Effective today, the price for a 19-kg commercial cylinder has gone up by Rs 48.5, raising the total cost to Rs 1,740, up from Rs 1,691.50. This marks the second increase in prices since September, resulting in a total rise of about Rs 87 over the past two months. The cost of a 5 kg free trade LPG cylinder has also increased by Rs 12. Prices may vary by state due to local taxes.
Despite the hike in commercial LPG prices, domestic LPG cylinder rates remain unchanged. However, the overall trend of rising costs could impact both household budgets and business operations.
Aviation Turbine Fuel Prices Drop
In contrast, the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) in Delhi has been reduced by 6%, bringing it down from ₹93,480 to ₹87,597 per kiloliter. This is the lowest ATF price since April 2024 and offers some relief to airlines, as fuel expenses account for nearly 40% of their operating costs.
