As Kangana Ranaut awaits the green light from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for her film Emergency, she has announced a new project. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed on X [Twitter] that Kangana will star in Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, a film focusing on the extraordinary achievements of ordinary people.
Taran Adarsh posted, “KANGANA RANAUT TO STAR IN .BHARAT BHHAGYA VIDDHAATA… Kangana Ranaut will play the central role in BharatBhhagyaViddhaata… The film will showcase the remarkable stories of ordinary people and their extraordinary achievements.”
Directed by Manoj Tapadia and produced by Babita Ashiwal (Eunoia Films) and Adi Sharmaa (Floating Rocks Entertainment), Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata will spotlight the working-class heroes and blue-collar employees whose contributions are crucial to the country’s functioning.
Babita Ashiwal expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Working on this project has been incredibly rewarding. Our goal is to create content that captivates our audience. With Kangana on board, we are confident the movie will strike the right chord.”
In parallel, Kangana has been addressing delays concerning *Emergency*. Despite previous reports indicating that the film had received CBFC clearance, Kangana clarified that its certification is still pending. She explained on social media, “There have been rumors that *Emergency* has been certified by the Censor Board. This is not true. While the film did receive clearance, the certification is on hold due to numerous death threats against the censor board members.”
Kangana also revealed that there is pressure to remove sensitive scenes, including those depicting the assassination of Indira Gandhi and the Punjab riots. She expressed frustration, saying, “What are we supposed to do—blackout the film during these scenes? This is unbelievable, and I am deeply sorry for the current state of thinking in this country.”
Emergency, which also stars Anupam Kher and the late Satish Kaushik, was initially scheduled for release on September 6.
