The BJP raised serious allegations on Thursday regarding the Congress party’s connections to Tushar Goyal, who was arrested in connection with a drug-related case involving the seizure of Rs 5,600 crore. BJP spokesperson and MP Sudhanshu Trivedi criticized Congress for its alleged ties to drug dealers and called for an explanation from the party.
Trivedi questioned whether the money from drug sales was being used to fund Congress’s campaign. He also asked if there was a business relationship between Congress and Goyal, suggesting that drug dealers might be allowed to operate freely in Haryana if Congress were to win power.
He pointed out that Goyal, who heads the RTI cell of the Delhi Youth Congress, had photos with prominent Congress leaders, including K C Venugopal and Deepender Singh Hooda. Trivedi demanded that the Hooda family clarify their connection to Goyal. He also referred to Goyal’s appointment letter, which mentioned the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
