Asim Riaz recently faced backlash for his perceived arrogance after a video from *Khatron Ke Khiladi 14*, hosted by Rohit Shetty, went viral. In the video, Asim was seen criticizing the show for featuring him alongside lesser-known actors and claiming he was on the show only for his fans, not for money or fame. His comments about his bank balance and frequent car changes drew strong criticism from netizens and TV personalities, including Kushal Tandon.
During the controversy, Asim opted for a cryptic approach. However, at a recent live event in Dubai, he publicly criticized the show’s producers for editing out context from his reactions. Asim claimed that while the show only highlighted his reactions, it omitted the actions that provoked his responses. He stated, “They say somebody is ruining the internet. It’s okay. It’s an action, there’s a reaction. But they only show my reaction. They don’t show action. They chop the clips and they show my reactions.”
Shilpa Shinde, also a participant on the show, supported Asim by alleging that he was provoked and mocked by other contestants, which contributed to his outburst.
Asim, who was frustrated after being unable to perform a stunt, requested to see the footage that showed his inability to complete the task. When shown the footage, he was incredulous. Rohit Shetty criticized Asim’s attitude and warned him to curb his arrogance, even threatening to confront him physically. Asim’s subsequent outburst during the show, which also went viral, further fueled the controversy.
