Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency, which she wrote and directed, features actors like Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik. The movie was originally scheduled to release on September 6.
Recently, the Bombay High Court addressed the issue surrounding the film’s delayed release. The court asked the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for an update, but the CBFC has not yet received the necessary cuts from the film’s creators. This delay prompted the filmmakers to take the matter to court.
During the hearing, the CBFC mentioned that its Revising Committee requested some cuts in the film. The studio, which filed the petition, asked the court for more time to determine if they can
make the suggested changes. The Bombay High Court has postponed the case until Monday.
Kangana’s film, Emergency, focuses on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, with Kangana portraying the role of the politician. The film is produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, featuring music by Sanchit Balhara and a screenplay by Ritesh Shah. The story highlights the events surrounding the emergency declared in India in 1975.
