HDFC Bank is making changes to its loyalty program for certain credit cards, effective October 1, 2024. One major update is the limit on redeeming reward points for Apple products. From that date, customers can only redeem points for one Apple product per calendar quarter through the Smartbuy platform.
According to the HDFC Bank website, “On the HDFC Bank SmartBuy portal, redemption of Reward Points for Apple Products will be limited to one product every calendar quarter. This applies only to Infinia and Infinia Metal Cards.” The calendar quarters are defined as follows:
- April to June
- July to September
- October to December
- January to March
Additionally, redemption of reward points for Tanishq vouchers will be capped at 50,000 Reward Points for each calendar quarter, starting October 1, 2024.
Fees for the HDFC Bank Infinia Credit Card
The joining and renewal fee for the HDFC Bank Infinia Credit Card is Rs 12,500 plus applicable taxes. The HDFC Bank website states, “Joining/Renewal Membership Fee – Rs. 12,500 + Applicable Taxes.” New members receive 12,500 reward points as a welcome benefit once the fee is paid and the card is activated. If cardholders spend Rs 10 lakhs or more in the previous 12 months, they can have the renewal fee waived for the next year.

Membership for the HDFC Bank Infinia Credit Card is available by invitation only.
Lounge Access
Cardholders enjoy unlimited complimentary access to over 1,000 airport lounges in India and around the world through Priority Pass. This benefit is also available for additional cardholders who have a Priority Pass.
