The BJP has released its manifesto for the Haryana elections, set for October 5. The document promises various initiatives, including monthly financial aid for women, the creation of industrial cities, free medical treatment, government jobs, housing projects, and welfare schemes for different groups.
The manifesto, called ‘Sankalp Patra,’ was unveiled by BJP national president JP Nadda in Rohtak, alongside Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and state party president Mohan Lal Badoli. This comes as elections are also underway in Jammu and Kashmir, where voter turnout has been strong.
Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda criticized the BJP’s manifesto, calling it a “copy-paste” of previous ones and claiming the party has made false promises since 2014. He stated that the Congress has fulfilled its promises in past elections, while the BJP has not delivered.
Meanwhile, Union Minister and former Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar expressed confidence that the BJP will win the Assembly polls for a third time, stating, “The people of Haryana have decided.”
